The history of the Chinese character “Yi” has a rich and diverse meaning of “exchange” and “interchanging”. Guangzhou has been an established trading port since the Ming dynasty and today continues to have busy ports and international and local ferrying of cargo goods.  Two bronze pieces are within the lobby and two are outside to be viewed upon arrival which are at a total height of 4.5 meters.
