WINDOWS ON THE PARK

MALAYSIA

A 3.5 hectare residential development where the masterplanning approach was to design the park first before placing the buildings within it. This meant that the architecture responded to the movement of the garden experience by having large windows created through which people could move.

Milestones, or batu in Malay, are the inspiration for the stone sculpture titled “…the distance between…”. A five set series of 10 tonne stones were used to strengthen the idea of moving through the park and offering a place to pause and relax.
